the curiousity within
In: Politik
14 Sep 2008As of yesterday, Sep 12 ’08, Gallup and Rasmussen found out that McCain leads Obama, 48% to 45%.
Is this for real?
I mean, if the polls were accurate, we have a country, as great a country as the US — to whom the whole world affairs depend on — that consists mostly of ignorant people?
I really find it hard to belief. First, Bush was elected twice, and then this … a significant probability that Bush’s “third term” will prevail …
Look at the recent Sarah Palin controvery … she energizes the McCain’s campaign such that it now enjoys the current polls’ lead, but …
I think only a country with so many stupid people would think for one moment Palin would make a good choice for VP. Her comments on future wars with Russia, not only shows her incompetence on the world stage, but also shows that another war hungry buffoon could be in the White House within a few months. The hypocrisy from this candidate is amazing. On one hand criticizing Russia on Georgia, then gushing at the fact that her boys will be in Iraq soon. What did she say about larger countries invading smaller ones, please remind me?
What if something bad happen to McCain — being 72 now — and Palin had to step in as a president?
Should the world watch with horror and desperation when President Palin (who in fact didn’t know what “Bush doctrine” is, “knows” Russia because she can see it from Alaska, and doesn’t “blink” when making decisions) has to excercise her “sound” judgment over as delicate, complex affairs as Palestine/Israel, Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, etc … ???
Indonesians, US is “remote”, but not as remote as we thought, when we consider that there is a strong relationship between US foreign policies and the Indonesia’s rise of oil prices, the recession of economy, jobs scarcity, rising criminalities; in the general sense of our prosperity here …
Make no mistake here: Our everyday lives is strongly affected by US people’s decision on who should be their next president.
I’m watching US President election with eeriness I can hardly contain …
I’m praying for Obama/Biden … May God be with them, bringing new hopes to the world.
